Former WWE wrestler Dwayne Johnson told Soccer AM why his first love was football… American football that is!

 

Johnson who was known as The Rock during his eight year association with the WWE is now a successful actor but revealed if it hadn’t been for a bad injury, his life would most likely have taken a very different path.

“It was always my first choice,” he explained. “I’d play down at University in Miami, where we won a national championship and I just love the game of football, in fact I just love athletics period. (more…)

Wonder Con Get Smart Panel Report 2.23.08

Another highlight from WonderCon this year was the panel and presentation for Warnerarticles.jpg Brothers’ upcoming summer comedy Get Smart. Appearing live in San Francisco today were the director Pete Segal and stars Anne Hathaway and Steve Carell. Not only did they deliver one hell of a hilarious Q&A, but the new trailer that debuted for the audience looked fantastic and played to enormous applause and cheers. Not only is this going to be a huge summer hit, but Carell perfectly embodies a contemporary Agent Maxwell Smart. (more…)

Guest appearance on Disney’s Cory in the house!

Disney Channel’s “Cory in the House,” off to a strong start, has snared Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson for an upcoming episode. Johnson, who taped his guest spot Monday, will play the presi dent’s newly appointed spe cial fitness advisor. “Cory,” a spinoff from “That’s So Raven,” is averaging 4.1 mil lion viewers through four air ings and doing extremely well among young girls (6-12 and 9-14).
