Another highlight from WonderCon this year was the panel and presentation for Warner Brothers’ upcoming summer comedy Get Smart. Appearing live in San Francisco today were the director Pete Segal and stars Anne Hathaway and Steve Carell. Not only did they deliver one hell of a hilarious Q&A, but the new trailer that debuted for the audience looked fantastic and played to enormous applause and cheers. Not only is this going to be a huge summer hit, but Carell perfectly embodies a contemporary Agent Maxwell Smart. (more…)

The Get Smart Panel starts off and we are informed that the cast will include Anne Hathaway, Alan Arkin, Masi Oki, Steve Carell and Masi Oka of Heroes. off! A short video of Get Smart is shown it features explosions, rock and roll, and more gadgets than the old TV show ever had. It concludes with Steve in an F-16, and a little tiny bag full of puke, which pretty much explodes all over the place. (more…)

The Get Smart trailer is playing in previews for the latest Harry Potter movie before the movie they run a preview for the Get Smart movie due out summer next year. In it they have Dwayne Johnson listed as just that with no mention of “The Rock” nickname.

Warner Bros. made an announcement that production has officially begun on Get Smart starring Steve Carell and Anne Hathaway. As an added bonus, they have attached the film’s first production photo.

Filming has begun on Warner Bros. Pictures’ and Village Roadshow Pictures’ comedy Get Smart, starring Steve Carell (The 40-Year-Old Virgin) and Anne Hathaway (The Devil Wears Prada). The announcement was made today by Jeff Robinov, President of Production, Warner Bros. Pictures. (more…)
