As to Dwayne killing his career with ‘Daddy’s Girl’…yeah, POOP on that. Who says all he can only do action movies? I don’t remember Arnold Schwarzenegger’s career being hurt by movies such as ‘Twins’. He had a stellar line up of movies prior to that movie and continued the trend after he made it.
Here’s a suggestion to the people who aren’t interested in seeing DJ in anything other than ass kicking, shoot ‘em up movies: Don’t go see ‘Daddy’s Girl’.
I, for one, am thrilled to see this side of Dwayne. I think he has the ability to play a wide range of characters and I’d like to see him exercise his acting chops.
It could be argued that ‘Be Cool’ deviated quite a bit from his usual role. He got good reviews for his performance in that picture. I think it took a lot of guts for him to do that role. He was hilarious as Elliot.
It annoys me when people try to pigeon hole actors. It isn’t up to this duo of yahoos to try to dictate what roles Dwayne should or shouldn’t take. It’s not their career, so shut up about it.
JMHO
